Picture You Naked

Maddy Hicks released “Picture You Naked” in September of 2022 with Overall Recordings.

Maddy wrote this song with JT Foley and Paige Blue earlier this year. When the title “Picture You Naked” was suggested in the cowrite, the three had a great time reimagining the classic phrase. The song quickly become an anthem for anyone who has ever run into an old fling or a crush and felt that strange combination of embarrassment and excitement.

“I’ve always found the advice to just picture everyone naked when you’re nervous to be so strange. Wouldn’t that make you more nervous? When I got in a room to write with JT Foley and Paige Blue we decided to play with that idea. What if you see someone you just hooked up with, and it’s actually easy to picture them naked because… you’ve already seen that? I absolutely love what we came up with. This song embraces the awkwardness and the excitement of seeing a crush in public and trying to contain yourself.”
